Bike tour!

Meine drei Freunde mit denen ich auf unsere 4tägigen Radtour um den Bodensee gegangen bin. In Hintergund sieht man den See.

Das war der härteste Teil der Tour: Der Aufstieg zur Birnau bei über 30°C, in der Mittagshitze und mit den schweren Satteltaschen an den Rädern. Die Aussicht und die Birnau selbst haben uns zwar entschädigt, aber nach diesem Aufstieg mussten wir erstmal den Gartenschlauch im Kirchgarten basuchen...

The hardest episode of the tour: The walk up in the summer heat of 90°F in the sun to the Birnau with the heavy bags on our bikes. It was definitely worth it, the view and the church were fantastic but after that walk we needed the garden hose in the church garden....

Der Ausblick war fantastisch wohin man blickte. Die Tour war einfach till. Wir passierten Deutschland, Schweiz und Österreich. Das Wetter war heiß und sonnig all die Tage lang, so dass wir jeden Tag schwimmen gehen konnten. Einfach unbeschreiblich schön.
Ich kann diese Tour nur empfehlen. Das war weder meine letzte Radtour noch meine letzte Tour um den See!

Fantastic views everywhere we were. The tour was really great, we passed Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The weather was hot and sunny all days long, we went swimming every day. It was simply amazing!!
I really recommend this tour and it was definitely neither my last bike tour nor my last tour around the lake!!

Stricksaison - Knitting season

So, ich habe die Striclsaison mit einem Loop-Schal eröffnet, fein aus Baumwolle, was Leichtes für den Herbst. Da das kommende WE war weredn soll, sieht es ganz danach aus, als ob ich noch etwas Zeit habe, um den Schal fertig zu stellen ;-)
Schwestern: Wenn der Prototyp super wird, wonach es aussieht, gibt's welche für euch!


I just opened the knitting season with loop scarf. Just a cotton one for the fall. Since the weather is supposed to be pretty warm this weekend I still have enough time till I'll need this scarf ;-)
Sisters: It seems as if the preliminary model looks pretty good so the next loop scarfs are yours!

Einmal Schwedisch bitte - Swedish food please ;-)

Köttbullar - so simpel und so lecker! Man nehme für 4 Personen 400g Hackfleisch, Paniermehl, 1 Ei und Salz, Pfeffer, Oregano, Thymian und etwas Basilikum und fertig! Dazu empfehle ich Kartoffeln, Preiselbeerenkompott und eine feine Bratensoße in der Pfanne der Köttbullar zubereitet.

Etwas ganz anderes: Hat es jemand von euch schon mal fertig gebracht, Schlüssel zur Wohnung, die man gekündigt hat, in eine Umzugskiste zu packen?
Willkommen in meiner Welt, das führt zum Öffnen sämtlicher Kisten, in denen die Schlüssel zumindest rein hypothetisch sein könnten. Also nicht zur Nachahmung empfohlen!!


Koettbullar, Swedish meatballs - so easy to make and so delicious. For 4 persons take: 1 3/4 cups ground meat, breadcrumbs, 1 egg, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme and a little bit basil that's it now you have to mix it.
Potatoes go perfect with it and a sauce of cranberries and gravy.
Amazing!

Something totally different: Did anybody of you ever put keys of the already cancelled flat in a packing case? Welcome to my world! If you wanna ever try this you should know it leads to the following: you have to reopen every single case where this keys possiply may be in. So you better shouldn't imitate this and learn from my faults!

So meine Lieben, nachdem ich euch jetzt so lange habe warten lassen nach meiner Rückkehr nach Deutschland, habe ich mich zu einer Umwidmung meines Blogs entschlossen, denn als NYC-Blog kann er jetzt natürlich nicht weiter bestehen bleiben.

Ich werde ihn zu einem "Entdecker-Blog" machen. In diesem werde ich euch regelmäßig von meinen neusten kulinarischen Entdeckungen berichten, aber auch von dem neuen Lebensabschnitt, der für mich jetzt nach dem 2. Examen für mich beginnt. Ich werde Frankfurt den Rücken kehren und sehen, wo es mich hintreibt. Ich werde für und mit euch eine neue Stadt entdecken.

Und für meine amerikanischen und internationalen Freunde werde ich meinen Blog in Zukunft zweisprachig gestalten und euch die Möglichkeit von Kommentaren geben.

My dearest friends: After a couple of weeks waiting for a new post after I returned from the US I decided to give my blog a new purpose. I mean it can't be a NYC blog anymore...
It'll be kind of an "explorer blog". Here I'll tell you about my latest culinary discoveries as well as about the new chapter of my life which now starts after finally finishing my studies. I'll leave Frankfurt, we'll see where I'll end up. I'll explore a new city for both of us.

Especially for my new friends from all over the world I'll blog in both languages, German and English and all of you may have the possibility to comment my stuff.
