Erste Entdeckungstouren in Köln - First discovery tours in Cologne

Last sunday I spend my afternoon in the close forest and kind of zoo near where I live now. The nice fall sun was great, a perfect sunday!

Meinen letzten Sonntag habe ich im Stadtwald und Tierpark verbracht bei herrlichem Herbstwetter.

Diesen Sonntsag habe ich Römisch-Germanischen Museum verbracht. Das Dionysos Mosaik ist sehr beeindruckend. Auch sonst ist dieses Museum immer einen Besuch wert!

Today I spend half of my day in the Roman-Germanistic Museum which was really fantastic. The Dionysos Mosaic was really wonderful. All in all the mueseum is definitely worth visiting.

Gelb gestrichen - Painted yellow

Mit Hilfe der Großeltern wurde die neue Wohnung blitzblank geputzt, es gab einen neuen Duschvorhang und das Wohnzimmer bekam einen frischen weißen Anstrich!------------------------ With lots of help by my gradparents my new home was cleaned spick and span! I bought a new shower curtain and my living room got fresh white paint!

So, zur Feier des Tages wurde der ehemals blaue Flur jetzt farbenfroh und gelb. Toll!------------------ Inspired by the wonderful fall I painted my hallway yellow! Fantastic!

Ja, ich habe eine Terrasse, mit Abendsonne! ---------------------------------------- And yes, I have a terrace with sun in the afternoon ;-)

Köln - Cologne

Wow, you know waht? I just got a job in Colonge. The law firm called me Tuesday and I started my new job on Friday... My first day was pretty exciting, all was new, all the new people and stuff. But they "threw me into cold water" (as I would call it in German) and I started right away working, got my own clients and so on. BUT now I have to work AND look for an apt. which is really hard and I do hope I'll find one til the end of this month. That would be really great! Right now I'm living with my grandparents in Bochum which is 1 1/2 hours by train to my new working place. But it's fine, I'm soooo glad that I have a place to live in. I'll take some pics this week to show you how Cologne looks like at the place where I work. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, Überraschung, heute schreibe ich aus Köln bzw. Bochum. Ich hab am Dienstag eine Jobzusage aus Köln bekommen, WAHNINN! Und habe direkt am freitag angefangen. Neue Leute, neue Umgebung, alles neu. Und ich wurde direkt ins kalte wasser geschmissen, bekam meine ersten eigenen Akten/Mandanten. Und es acht Spaß! Jetzt muss ich nur noch neben dem Job eine Wohnung finden, was mir HOFFENTLICH zum Ende diesen Monats gelingen wird! Momentan konnte ich spontan bei meinen großeltern in Bochum unterschlüpfen, was 1 1/2 Stunden mit dem Zug von meinem Arbeitsplatz entfernt ist. Also passt das alles. Nächste Woche werde ich einige Fotos für euch machen, um euch zu zeigen, wie Köln so rund um meinen Arbeitsplatz aussieht ;-)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So here is now some work for you: I would like to know how you would react if somebody would give you a fantastic job opportunity but you have to decide immediately and you have to go to a totally new city?
